My spiritual awakening started in January 2005; Geraldine gave me a gift voucher for a course on ‘Spiritual Intuition’. Initially, I was apprehensive about doing this course as I felt at age 56 I was exploring the “unknown”. My worries proved to be unfounded as I immediately felt at home and embraced the many personal insights and leanings about spirituality and what it means to live a spiritual life.
When the course ended, I completed an advanced Kinesiology course as well as an advanced Pranic healing course and Psychotherapy. I have been practising Pranic healing for approximately two years now and my most rewarding experience has been in treating my buddy Trevor, who was unfortunately diagnosed with prostate cancer. I encouraged him to attend a couple of healing sessions before his operation, and did a distant healing session while he was waiting to go into theatre. His Doctors were amazed at the lack of bleeding during the operation as well as his speedy recovery. Amazingly, he was playing golf within a month.
My Reconnective healing
I saw an advert in Odyssey magazine and immediately booked for level 1 & 11 courses. Before the courses started, I decided to experience a Reconnective Healing first hand.My Reconnective practitioner, Teresa asked me to lie down on the healing bed, close my eyes, relax and be expectant. WOW, within seconds the energy poured into my body – it was as if a power switch had been flicked on, my eyes started fluttering were suddenly filled with bright light. It was as if she was shining a torch into my eyes. The bright light was then replaced with amazing golden, mauve, and purple clouds, which were moving slowly across “the screen” merging into one another.
At this stage Teresa told me that she had to leave the room to sort out her cat – she was away for a couple of minutes but the “energy show” continued. My arms felt pinned to the bed and my hands felt inflated to double their size. I was swallowing all the time and my abdomen felt like it had an oval rubber ring pressing down on the periphery – my stomach was gurgling. My hands felt like they were now floating above the bed with my arms still pinned down to the bed. I remember thinking to myself “gee I don’t want this to stop, ever”. My legs twitched and the coloured clouds were replaced with flickering light {it was like an old black & white movie}
When the session ended, I was gently woken by Theresa. I sat on the edge of bed for about 5 minutes I was cold – shivering like a leaf and felt spaced out. I then chatted to Teresa for another 10 minutes or so. I was totally relaxed although my brain felt sluggish. On my way home, I needed to turn on the heater in my car, a first for me as I don’t normally feel the cold.
Because I had such a profound experience, the following day I decided not to wait and booked myself onto the level 111 course. I then arranged for my Personal Reconnection sessions with Teresa.
